VIP Benefits

Celebrate earlier and party later with two special events as a VIP!

In an exclusive dining experience at the newly restored Michigan Central Station, VIP patrons will join SAY Detroit founder Mitch Albom and other special guests at a reception. Meticulously restored to its historic grandeur, the open and opulent Grand Hall is an unforgettable space to enjoy tasting dishes and a craft cocktail from two of Detroit’s top restaurants: Marrow and Leña.

The four-time James Beard nominated restaurant, Marrow, bridges Executive Chef Sarah Welch’s (Top Chef Season 19 finalist) creative culinary genius with local and ethically sourced products. The result is an inventive menu with signature dishes that demonstrate why the origin and farming practices of ingredients create superior flavors, textures, and taste. And promotes zero waste. A Spanish-inspired neighborhood restaurant, Leña boasts a philosophy that is simple yet profound: food is an extension of hospitality. They’re not just serving meals; they're crafting experiences, weaving together the rich tapestry of Catalonian and Basque traditions with the vibrant local spirit of Detroit. Their support for local farms and purveyors is a testament to their dedication to community and sustainability, blending the best of both worlds on your plate.

After touring restaurants wearing your wristband at your pace and preference, your VIP experience will return again to Michigan Central to end your night in style, sipping champagne: Starting at 8:30 p.m., enjoy a final course of desserts from MAD NICE, Prime + Proper, and Townhouse Detroit (all longtime and beloved participants of EAT Detroit!) Detroit Water Ice Factory will be serving its iconic summer treat, and you can grab some Brown Bag Popcorn to take home.

VIP attendees check in and get their wristbands at the VIP reception at Michigan Central.
